Meike Droste
Meike Droste is an actress and teaches Film Acting II and Scene Work Basics.
Meike studied acting at the Otto-Falkenberg-Schule in Munich and already appeared on the stages of the Salzburg Festival and the Münchner Kammerspiele during her studies. Even before officially graduating, she became an ensemble member of the Berliner Ensemble under Claus Peymann. There she celebrated her debut in the title role with "Die heilige Johanna der Schlachthöfe". This was followed by two years in the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Zurich and then eight years at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, during which Meike worked with renowned directors such as Michael Thalheimer, Dimiter Gottscheff and, in particular, Jürgen Gosch. For her outstanding portrayal of Mascha in Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull," she was awarded the prestigious Faust theater prize for Best Acting Performance in 2009. Meike has also worked for film and television since 2007 and has appeared in "Mord mit Aussicht" and "Frau Temme sucht das Glück", among others. Her most recent works include the mini-series „Deutscher“.
